Renowned religious leader Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah has stirred intrigue with his recent proclamation regarding the upcoming 2024 general elections in Ghana, suggesting that the outcome will be determined by spiritual forces rather than conventional political factors.
In an exclusive interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese of Okay FM, Reverend Owusu Bempah emphasized the unpredictability of the election, stating that the dynamic nature of the spiritual realm makes it impossible to confidently predict the winner.
“Whoever would boldly assert that a certain individual is the destined winner should be very careful because things keep changing,” Reverend Owusu Bempah cautioned, highlighting the spiritual uncertainty surrounding the electoral process.
Attributing the electoral contest to a spiritual battle, Reverend Owusu Bempah asserted that the candidate with the strongest spiritual backing will emerge victorious, transcending mere physical campaign efforts.
“There is a fight in the spiritual realm, so whoever wins the spiritual battle will ascend the presidency,” he explained, underscoring the significance of spiritual guidance in securing electoral success.
Reverend Owusu Bempah’s remarks come in the wake of a notable visit from New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to his church during the Easter season. While some interpreted Reverend Owusu Bempah’s actions, including presenting Dr. Bawumia with a special chair and offering prayers, as a symbolic endorsement, the religious leader clarified that his gesture held no symbolic significance.
As Ghana prepares for a pivotal electoral contest in 2024, Reverend Owusu Bempah’s insights add a layer of spiritual intrigue to the political landscape, prompting reflection on the role of faith in shaping the nation’s future leadership.
