The National Democratic Congress (NDC) held a special vigil to celebrate the life of their compatriot, the late Sherry Ayittey.
The vigil gathered party leaders and members in a collective mourning for the loss of a dedicated NDC member.
Held on the evening of Friday, November 3, 2023, the wake served as a poignant occasion to commemorate and pay tribute to the late Sherry Ayittey, who had passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the age of 75. Her illustrious career included service in various ministerial roles, such as Fisheries & Aquaculture and Environment, Science & Technology.
The burial to honor her memory is scheduled for November 10. This vigil allowed the NDC to come together to express their heartfelt condolences and reflect on the remarkable contributions she had made to both the party and her nation throughout her lifetime.
