In a recent revelation that has sparked intrigue and debate, Ghanaian media personality and businesswoman, Mzbel, opened up about her son’s unconventional beliefs regarding religion and the concept of God. In a candid interview, Mzbel shed light on why her son has chosen not to adhere to traditional religious practices and instead sees her as his guiding force.

According to Mzbel, her son has eschewed the practice of praying to any deity, preferring to view her as his “god.” She described how, rather than turning to the heavens in prayer, her son approaches her directly whenever he is in need or seeking guidance. This unique perspective challenges conventional notions of spirituality and underscores the profound influence parents can have on their children’s belief systems.

Mzbel went on to express her own skepticism regarding the existence of a higher power, stating that while she does not discount the possibility of a god, she does not rely on prayer to fulfill her desires. Instead, she shared that she turns to her late mother’s altar to make requests, a practice that she believes yields tangible results.

This revelation comes amidst growing scrutiny of Mzbel’s family’s religious practices, particularly in a society where Christianity and Islam hold sway. Mzbel’s son, Okomfo Black, has faced backlash for his unorthodox views, particularly regarding his rejection of a singular supreme deity. In a community where adherence to traditional religious beliefs is often met with skepticism, Okomfo Black’s assertions have stirred controversy and garnered attention.

At just 10 years old, Okomfo Black’s defiance of societal norms is both bold and thought-provoking. His assertion that his mother, rather than any divine entity, is the primary source of care and provision challenges deeply ingrained religious beliefs and prompts reflection on the nature of parental influence.

However, Okomfo Black’s outspoken views have not been without consequences. Reports suggest that conservative Ghanaians, including parents of his schoolmates, have taken steps to marginalize him due to his unconventional beliefs. This serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by those who dare to challenge established norms and beliefs.

In conclusion, Mzbel’s revelation offers a fascinating glimpse into the intersection of religion, parenting, and societal expectations. It prompts us to consider the influence parents wield over their children’s beliefs and the importance of fostering open-mindedness and acceptance in a diverse and ever-evolving world. As Okomfo Black continues to navigate his unconventional path, his story serves as a reminder of the power of individual autonomy and the importance of respecting differing perspectives.
