Heartbreaking DNA Test Results Challenge Nigerian Couple’s 16-Year Marriage
In a gut-wrenching twist of fate, a Nigerian man, Olanrewaju Kolawole, hailing from Ikire in Irewole Local Government Area, Osun State, has received DNA test results that have shaken the foundation of his 16-year marriage. The results suggest that none of the four children born during this marriage are biologically his.
Kolawole decided to undertake a DNA test on one of his children, and the outcome was devastating—indicating a lack of biological connection between him and the child. This shocking revelation spurred him to extend the DNA tests to the remaining three children, leaving no room for doubt. The tests were conducted at the DDC DNA Diagnostic Center in Osogbo and reaffirmed the initial findings—none of the children he had raised as his own for years were biologically related to him.
Overcome with grief and confusion, Kolawole made a plea to the Nigerian public during an emotional interview with On-Air-Personality Oriyomi Hamzat on Kokoro Alate, broadcast on Agidigbo 88.7 FM in Ibadan. He expressed his deep pain and sought support, emphasizing that he couldn’t bear this suffering in vain.
“I want Nigerians to come to my rescue because I must not suffer this in vain. I married Toyin in 2007 and gave birth to four children. She gave birth to four children, but none of them belongs to me after findings from a DNA test,” Kolawole lamented, tears staining his anguished face.
On the other hand, Toyin Tella, Kolawole’s wife, strongly rejected the DNA test results, asserting foul play and maintaining that all her children unquestionably belong to Kolawole.
“I don’t accept the result. I don’t accept it because I was not there when they took samples, and I don’t know which sample they took, so I don’t accept it. I can’t accept it because I know how I conceived those children,” she insisted, refuting the findings.
The disheartening revelation has brought Kolawole and Toyin Tella’s 16-year marriage into turmoil, casting uncertainty over the paternity of their four children.
