The excitement is building for football fans across Ghana as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced that the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi will be the battleground for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between the Black Stars and the Central African Republic (CAR).

Set to take place in June, this highly anticipated match marks a crucial step for Otto Addo’s side as they strive to secure a coveted spot in the World Cup tournament slated for the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Currently occupying fourth place in Group I, the Black Stars are gearing up for a pivotal clash following a mixed start to their qualifying campaign. Despite securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Madagascar, they faced disappointment with a similar scoreline defeat at the hands of Comoros last November. With the stakes higher than ever, Ghana is poised to leave no stone unturned in their quest for success.

Despite enduring a winless streak in their recent matches, the Black Stars remain undeterred in their pursuit of glory. With the unwavering support of fans and the collective determination of the team, Ghana is poised to rise to the occasion and deliver a performance worthy of World Cup qualification.

As anticipation mounts and excitement reaches fever pitch, all eyes will be on the Baba Yara Stadium as the Black Stars prepare to showcase their skill, resilience, and unwavering commitment to national pride.
