In a significant stride forward in the investigation surrounding the tragic murder of Eric Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cosy Hill Hotel in Jirapa, the Ghana Police Service has made a vital announcement. Four additional suspects have been apprehended, marking a total of five individuals now in custody in connection with the crime.

The latest development in this high-profile case sees the arrest of Dookuuri Fausta, Braimah Kasim, Beyuo Felix, and Michael Klugey— all employees of Cosy Hill Hotel. They join the previously apprehended suspect, Kumbata Kwaku, in assisting police with their investigations, according to an official release from the law enforcement agency on Sunday, February 11.

Eric Johnson, fondly known as the driving force behind the renowned ‘Jirapa Dubai,’ tragically met his demise, found deceased in a pool of blood within one of the hotel rooms on the same day. Swift action ensued as the Regional Crime Scene Management Team swiftly conducted an initial visit to gather crucial evidence.

The Ghana Police Service, in a statement released promptly, reiterated its unwavering commitment to ensuring justice prevails in this case. The Inspector-General of Police has dispatched a specialized team of investigators and experts, under the leadership of the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), to closely collaborate with the Upper West Regional Police Command.

Despite the harrowing circumstances, authorities remain steadfast in their pursuit of truth and justice in the untimely death of Mr. Eric Johnson. The investigation continues unabated, with law enforcement personnel dedicating tireless efforts to uncovering the facts behind this tragic incident.
