Ghanaian Driver Recounts Betrayal After Supporting Girlfriend Through Law School

In a tale that highlights the bitter sting of betrayal, Benjamin Kwame Tornyegah, a commercial driver from Ada in the Greater Accra Region, shared his harrowing experience of unwavering support turned to heartbreak.

Benjamin narrated how he tirelessly worked to support his girlfriend, covering her University of Ghana Law School fees for three years, only to be met with a shocking rejection after her graduation. Despite his benevolence, she callously declared, “you are not my class,” before walking away.

Speaking to Giovanni Caleb on Accra-based 3FM’s Drive Show, Benjamin recounted the pain of the betrayal, admitting that it left him devastated. He revealed that the betrayal was so profound that he couldn’t eat for an entire month, grappling with the anguish and betrayal.

However, despite the pain, Benjamin displayed resilience, stating that he has since moved on, leaving everything in God’s hands. He acknowledged the valuable lessons learned from the experience and emphasized the importance of moving forward.

Remarkably, Benjamin shared that his life took a positive turn after the heartbreak. He now resides in his own home and owns two commercial vehicles that serve as a stable source of income.

This poignant story serves as a reminder of the complexities of relationships and the resilience of the human spirit in overcoming adversity. Benjamin’s journey from heartbreak to success is a testament to the power of perseverance and determination in the face of betrayal.
