In the town Nkurakan of Yilo Krobo Municipality, a 37-year-old chop bar operator has been arrested for alledgedly buying two stolen goats.
She was arrested by the New Juaben District Police Command division.
It is believed that she bought the goat from some suspected thieves who constantly steal from residents.
The suspect, Mary Yeboah, who operates “Sweet at home” chop bar was arrested by police in Nkurakan but was later handed over to the New Juaben Police Command for further investigation.
While in the grips of some residents, she was made to carry the goats and march through the streets amidst booing and jeering.
Emmanuel Narh, the Dademankye (Chief) of the town, has accused the suspect of being a known buyer of stolen goats for her chop bar dishes.
Police say they have launched an investigation to arrest her accomplices who have fled.
