Certain players within the Black Stars team have surpassed their effective period or have become less valuable.

During an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi, Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu mentioned that two or three players have “outlived their effectiveness” and are no longer capable of making a significant contribution to the national team.

Underlining the importance of maintaining a competitive and adaptable squad, he stated, “I believe we should substitute those individuals because, based on what I’ve observed, around two or three of them are not performing up to the required standards.”

Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu also expressed his confidence in the national team’s coach, Chris Hughton, noting the abundance of emerging talent at their disposal. He suggested that these emerging stars could serve as suitable replacements for the players who are perceived as being less impactful.

He mentioned, “The coach has access to a wealth of emerging talents from which he can select replacements for them.”

The Black Stars are scheduled to play against Madagascar on Friday, November 17, followed by a match against Comoros four days later.
