During an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi, Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu mentioned that two or three players have “outlived their effectiveness” and are no longer capable of making a significant contribution to the national team.

Underlining the importance of maintaining a competitive and adaptable squad, he stated, “I believe we should substitute those individuals because, based on what I’ve observed, around two or three of them are not performing up to the required standards.”
