Daniel Osei Kuffuor, husband of former Minister for Sanitation, Cecilia Dapaah, has disclosed a startling revelation concerning money allegedly stolen over a span of two decades.

Kuffuor stunned the courtroom as he detailed the clandestine activities that purportedly occurred within his household, implicating several individuals in a complex web of theft and deceit.

According to Kuffuor’s testimony, he and his wife embarked on a surreptitious endeavor to deposit money believed to have been stolen from their storeroom over the course of 20 years. The funds in question, he asserted, belonged not only to himself and Cecilia Dapaah but also to her family and a niece who served as a client.

Under rigorous cross-examination on Wednesday, May 15, Kuffuor provided further insight into the timeline and methods employed by the accused individuals to perpetrate the alleged theft. He recounted how the accused, including Patience Botwe and Sarah Agyei, allegedly conspired to pilfer substantial sums of money from their residence, utilizing elaborate schemes and duplicity to carry out their illicit activities.

The accused, including Patience Botwe, Sarah Agyei, Benjamin Sowah, Malik Dauda, Christiana Achab, Job Pomary, and Yahaya Sumaila, stand accused of a litany of charges ranging from conspiracy to steal, stealing, dishonestly receiving, to money laundering. However, they have vehemently denied the allegations leveled against them.

Kuffuor, an 81-year-old Professional Architect with over five decades of experience, detailed the staggering amounts allegedly stolen, including two sets of $210,000 and $200,000 in US dollars, along with £300,000 and GHc300,000 in other currencies. The missing funds, he claimed, also included contributions made by Cecilia Dapaah’s siblings towards the funeral of her late mother.

The revelation has sent shockwaves through the courtroom, shedding light on a complex and long-running saga of alleged deception and financial malfeasance. As the trial progresses, the truth behind these accusations will be closely scrutinized, with the accused individuals facing the full weight of the law if found guilty.

With Kuffuor’s testimony serving as a pivotal moment in the proceedings, the case promises to unravel a tangled web of deceit, betrayal, and stolen wealth, offering a sobering reminder of the consequences of dishonesty and greed.
