Bawumia Vows to Empower Youth with Coding Skills, Unveils Bold Plans Ahead of 2024 Elections
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has underscored his unwavering commitment to empower Ghana’s youth through technology education, pledging to train approximately one million young Ghanaians in coding and software applications if elected in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Addressing a crowd in Kwahu Mpraeso on Saturday, March 30, 2024, during a special Easter health walk, Bawumia reiterated his ambitious plan, emphasizing the pivotal role of technology in shaping the nation’s future and the imperative to harness its potential.
“The future is technology, and the youth of this country are crucial in driving our technological advancement,” Bawumia affirmed. “That is why I have pledged to train about 1 million young Ghanaians in coding and software applications under my presidency.”
In addition to his commitment to technology education, Bawumia unveiled a series of bold proposals aimed at propelling Ghana forward. Promising decisive action if elected, he outlined plans for a new tax system designed to spur economic growth and provide relief to businesses and individuals.
“A vote for me is a vote for bold solutions,” Bawumia declared, drawing a clear distinction between his vision for the future and the status quo. “I am coming with new ideas and bold solutions to move our country forward. As I have said, I am coming with a new tax system which will introduce a flat tax rate and provide tax amnesty to businesses and individuals.”
