Inaki Williams, a Black Stars forward, continued his scoring spree over the weekend as Athletic Bilbao defeated Real Sociedad.
Inaki has found his scoring boots again, scoring four goals in his previous three games after struggling in 23 games since his last goal in October 2022.
The 28-year-old found the back of the net twice in Athletic Bilbao’s 2-0 triumph over Real Sociedad in the Basque derby on Saturday.
Inaki started the goal in the 33rd minute of the game, giving Ernesto Valverde’s side the lead, then completing off a Raul Garcia ball in the second half to double the lead and put Sociedad out of reach.
In 25 starts, the forward has now been directly involved in 10 league goals, scoring eight times and contributing two assists.
Athletic Club moves up to seventh place in the Spanish La Liga rankings after scoring 43 points in 29 games.
