The 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) are set to commence on Monday, July 8, and conclude on Monday, July 15, 2024. A total of 569,095 candidates will participate in the exams nationwide.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has expressed its gratitude to teachers, school leaders, education directors, parents, and all stakeholders for their diligent efforts in preparing the candidates. The GES emphasized the critical importance of avoiding exam malpractice and reassured the public that GES, WAEC, and the Security Services are collaborating to ensure the examinations are conducted smoothly.
Parents, candidates, and the public will be informed about the school selection process, which will begin after the BECE. Detailed information regarding the selection process will be provided subsequently.
In a heartfelt message, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo addressed all candidates preparing for the BECE. He conveyed his confidence in their ability to succeed and urged them to approach the examination with honesty and integrity.
