President Akufo-Addo enacts three new tax bills, boosting Ghana’s economic growth

President Akufo-Addo has signed three new tax measures recently voted by Parliament into law.

He claims that the paper has subsequently been given to the Clerk of Parliament, allowing the rest of the administrative formalities to begin.

The Excise Duty Amendment Bill 2022, the Growth and Sustainability Levy Bill 2022, and the Income Tax Amendment Bill 2022 are the three new taxes.

The government also claims that the laws are critical to obtaining the US$3 million bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
