Pregnant Woman Fights for Life After being butchered by Husband in Nchumuru

In a shocking incident in the Nchumuru District of the Oti Region, a pregnant woman is battling for her life after being savagely attacked by her husband with a cutlass on their farm. Madam Mesuna Adiza sustained severe injuries in the assault, which has left the local community in deep distress.

The attack occurred while Madam Adiza and her husband, Mr. Ibrahim Anas, were working on their farm. The motive behind the brutal act remains unknown, but the ferocity of the assault has shaken the residents of their community. Following the attack, the gravely injured Madam Adiza was swiftly transported to the Banda Health Centre for emergency medical treatment.

John Mpoesi Nteley, the Assemblyman for the area, confirmed the incident in an interview. He detailed that Madam Adiza suffered multiple deep wounds to her forehead, shoulder, stomach, and hand. Despite the severity of her injuries, medical professionals are closely monitoring her condition, which remains critical.

Offering an update on her status, Mr. Godfred Atsu Kpodo, a Physician Assistant at the Banda Health Centre, noted that Madam Adiza is responding to treatment, providing a glimmer of hope amid the grim circumstances.

Ibrahim Anas, the alleged perpetrator, was apprehended shortly after the incident and handed over to the Ghana Police Service in Krachi Nchumuru for further investigation. While the police have not yet issued a formal statement regarding the attack, they have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
