Ghanaian rapper Medikal has claimed that his former wife, Fella Makafui, underwent tummy tuck surgery to boost her slim tea business. Medikal contends that Fella’s flat stomach, previously marketed as a result of her slim tea, was actually achieved through surgical intervention.
Medikal disclosed that, despite his initial opposition, he ultimately financed Fella’s surgeries in Nigeria and Turkey, spending over €25,000 on the procedures and associated costs. “After she gave birth, she was worried about her post-pregnancy weight affecting business promotion,” Medikal recounted. “I suggested using ambassadors or influencers for the slim tea, but she was determined to endorse the products herself. This disagreement caused a three to four-month rift between us.”
Medikal revealed that he funded the surgeries to prioritize Fella’s happiness, covering all expenses including accommodations. Despite his reservations about the surgery due to concerns for Fella’s health and his contentment with her appearance, she proceeded with the procedure against his advice. Medikal questioned the necessity of the surgery, especially given her roles as a wife and mother.
In addition to the surgical expenses, Medikal also disclosed investing over $300,000 into Fella’s import and flat tummy businesses. These revelations come amid ongoing discord between Medikal and Fella, shedding light on the complexities of their relationship and business ventures.
As the public digests these revelations, discussions about the dynamics of celebrity marriages and entrepreneurial endeavors continue to unfold, highlighting the intricate balance between personal and business decisions in the public eye.
