Let’s come together and put in effort to maintain the Kumawu seat – Alan John Kyerematen urges NPP

Alan Kyerematen, a flagbearer candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has congratulated Mr Ernest Yaw Anim on his election as the party’s candidate for the impending Kumawu Constituency by-election.

Mr. Kyerematen also welcomed the other candidates and urged them to band together and work hard with the elected parliamentary candidate to keep the seat and “honor the late Hon. Basoah’s legacy.” Kumawu, congratulations!”

Mr. Yaw Anim received 195 of the total valid votes cast during the NPP primary on April 23 to win.

He won by defeating the other four contestants.

With 181 votes, Obaapa Ama Serwaa came in second place.
Yaw Baah, a former member of parliament, was one of the two candidates that withdrew from the race. He offered Obaapa Ama Serwaa his backing.

Dr. Aboagye Da-Costa, the Ghana Health Service’s (GHS) director of health promotion, finished fourth while veteran radio host Osei Bempah finished last with five votes.
