Speaking on UTV, Akrobeto expressed that LilWin’s involvement in the accident and his subsequent actions have tarnished his public image and societal standing. He commended the police for their decision to detain LilWin for questioning, underscoring the necessity of applying the law equally to all individuals, regardless of their prominence.

Akrobeto urged fellow celebrities to conduct themselves in ways that set positive examples for their fans. “Upon your release from remand, it’s important to make wise decisions because, in Ghana, no one is above the law. We, as public figures, must lead lives that inspire others, avoiding such incidents,” he stated.

He emphasized the impartiality of the law, adding, “When you deviate from the right path, the law will intervene without exception. Pastor Owusu Bempah, for instance, was taken into custody and subsequently issued an apology. There have been others who have faced legal consequences for their actions.”

LilWin was detained by police on Monday, June 3, 2024, after being discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. He has since been granted bail of GH¢50,000, and the case has been adjourned to June 27, 2024.

The incident has sparked widespread discussions on the responsibilities of public figures and the importance of adhering to the law, regardless of one’s status. Akrobeto’s remarks serve as a reminder of the high standards to which celebrities are held and the critical need for them to be exemplary role models in society.
