Actor Lil Win Arrested Following Fatal Accident Involving Three-Year-Old Boy

Popular Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win, has been arrested by the Manhyia Divisional Police Command’s MTTD in connection with a tragic car accident that resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy. The arrest came shortly after Lil Win was discharged from the hospital, according to a post by Citi FM on Monday, June 3, 2024.

The incident occurred on May 25, just hours before the highly anticipated premiere of Lil Win’s movie, “A Country Called Ghana,” in Kumasi. Lil Win, along with other victims, was rushed to the hospital for medical attention following the crash. While recovering, it was reported that the young child involved in the accident had passed away.

The tragic event took place in the Amakom area of Kumasi, Ashanti region. Eyewitnesses reported that Lil Win was driving at high speed from the Amakom intersection towards the WAEC area when he suddenly veered into the opposite lane. His vehicle collided head-on with a private family car carrying a father and his three-year-old son.

The young boy, who was in the front seat with his father, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Saturday, while his father continues to receive medical care. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by a relative during a live radio interview with Angel FM on Monday, May 27.

Lil Win and his two passengers also sustained head injuries, and both vehicles were significantly damaged in the collision. The tragic accident has sparked outrage and demands for accountability from the public. The family of the deceased child has expressed their anger over Lil Win’s conduct and his management’s perceived insensitive response following the incident.

The head-on collision and its devastating outcome have led to calls for justice and scrutiny of the actor’s actions. As the investigation continues, the community remains in mourning over the loss of a young life, while Lil Win faces serious legal consequences.
